Raw Materials Company is an international leader specializing in battery and electronics recycling. They utilize patented technology to recycle alkaline batteries; currently, they recycle more of these than any other company in North America. Their approach permits the recovery and reuse of all materials contained in an alkaline battery, such as zinc, manganese, steel, water, and potassium. In addition to their recycling efforts, they aim to reduce reliance on mining finite natural resources and halt all land-filling of recyclable waste. The recovered materials, representing no waste, are consumed within Canada and the United States, specifically not further than 500 miles from their facility.
